Max's Run For A Reason

Thank you so much to our friends, family and community for supporting Max's Run for a Reason and for the generous donations to the Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) program.

The event has been an overwhelming success on all accounts! We have raised close to $200,000 over the past three years. The event has been a beautiful tribute to our precious son, Max, on the weekend of what would have been his birthday.

In honor of Max, proceeds will help fund SUDC research, increase SUDC awareness and strengthen family support programs across the country. We will also donate to the local Minneapolis/St. Paul Hospitals and Clinics, to help strengthen their support of other parents who have lost a child.

On behalf of our family and the SUDC Program, thanks again for your involvement with this year's Run For A Reason. We are deeply touched by your support.

Update on the 2006 event

A 5K Run and 2K Family Fitness Walk
Benefiting the Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) Program

Last year, Jennifer and Mitchell Best sponsored the third annual event to raise funds and awareness for the newly founded Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) Program. It was held in memory of their son, Max Best, who died without explanation in December 2002.

Much remains ahead. As the four-year anniversary of Max's tragic death approaches, his parents still do not know what caused their unfathomable loss. Countless other parents share a similar struggle. Thanks to you, the SUDC Program made some real progress at both the local and national levels.
