About Max

Maxwell Douglas Adamek Best

Max was such a little character, so funny and so sweet. No one could resist his big brown eyes and extremely kissable soft cheeks. From the tub and the kitchen sink to summer afternoons at the lake – he loved the water – there was no better way to spend a day than simultaneously soaking up both the sun and all the love that was around him. Max loved lions, dogs, and ducks (“quack quack” were some of his first words). Always curious, he had an amazing sense of adventure. But while he loved going out for long walks and playing with the older kids at the park, Max was happiest snuggled up with his mom and dad reading his many favorite books.

As Max’s parents, we are grateful for his short precious life. We are thankful for the opportunity to both give and receive this greatest love from our little boy. What we don’t know is why Max died. What we do know is he’ll be a part of our lives forever and his spirit lives within our hearts always.

On behalf of every other family whose lives have been changed because of this tragedy, we thank you for your love, your generosity and support.
